Get ready, Walnut Grove Lake! It’s time to gear up for our absolute favorite time of the year. The HOA has a massive lineup of summer fun and friendly competition planned for the neighborhood. Grab your family, invite your friends, and let’s make this our best celebration yet!
Here is your ultimate guide to the WGL festivities:
📅 THE PRE-GAME: Saturday, June 27th
9:15 PM — WGL Fireworks Spectacular!
⚠️ TAKE NOTE: We are kicking things off early this year! Our massive fireworks show over the lake is happening the weekend BEFORE the 4th of July. Don't miss the lake lighting up on Saturday night!
📅 THE BIG DAY: Saturday, July 4th
The 4th of July is packed from street to shore with our favorite annual traditions.
🎣 Morning (Time TBA) — The Annual Fishing Rodeo
Cast your lines and bring your A-game! We’ve got awesome prizes up for grabs. More details on age groups and exact timing are coming soon.
📬 All Day — Mailbox Decorating Contest
Let's dress up the neighborhood! Bring the patriotic spirit right to your curb. This year’s official theme is 1776 / Bicentennial. Show off your creativity and make your street shine! Judging times and details to be announced soon.
🍧 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM — Kona Ice at Ferrell Park
Beat the summer heat! Swing by Ferrell Park to grab a refreshing shaved ice—compliments of the HOA—to enjoy before and during the big parade.
⚓ 6:00 PM — Neighborhood Boat Parade
The main event on the water! Deck out your boats to match this year’s theme: 1776 / Bicentennial. Start planning your historic, patriotic decorations now! More info on judging categories and prizes is coming soon.
🌤️ Weather Permitting & Event Updates
While the HOA is doing our absolute best to host an incredible celebration, we unfortunately can't control the weather!
Because of this, all events are weather-permitting and subject to change. To stay in the loop, please keep a close eye on our official Facebook page for real-time updates, schedule shifts, and final details.
Thank you all for your flexibility and support—we can't wait to celebrate with you!
